Version 2.0 | Last Updated: June 2026 | odin.rfbitcoin.com
ODIN is a professional market intelligence and signal analytic platform, accessible from anywhere via odin.rfbitcoin.com. It aggregates market signals, macroeconomic data, on-chain metrics, news sentiment, options flow, and exchange data into a single composite scoring system β giving traders a clear, data-driven view of market conditions.
π Getting Started
New to ODIN? Follow these five steps to be up and running in under 5 minutes.
1
Activate your license
When you first open the dashboard, you'll see the Activate ODIN card. Enter the license key from your Whop purchase confirmation email. No key? Click Continue without license to explore the free tier first.
2
Read your first signal
The top of the dashboard shows the current BULL / BEAR / NEUTRAL signal, the composite score, and the conviction %. Conviction above 70% = strong agreement across all 16 pillars. Below 40% = mixed β wait for clarity. Scroll down to see the full Signal Breakdown explaining exactly why.
3
Check the 24h Prediction
Click Predict in the mode bar (or the Predict mini-card on the left). This shows ODIN's ML-powered 24h, 7d, and 30d price direction forecast with confidence bands. Use this alongside the main signal β not instead of it.
4
Practice with Paper Trading
Click Paper in the mode bar. You start with a virtual $10,000. Buy long or sell short based on the signal β no real money at risk. This is the best way to learn how ODIN's signals translate into actual trade timing before committing real capital.
5
Enable your daily briefing
Click the β Alerts button in the header and enable push notifications. Every morning at 8am you'll receive a BTC and ETH outlook directly to your browser β signal direction, confidence, price range, and top headlines. No need to check manually every day.
Start in Beginner Mode β click the π Beginner button in the header to simplify labels and access plain-English explanations for every indicator.
1. Accessing ODIN
ODIN works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. It can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a native app-like experience on any device β no app store required.
On first visit, ODIN will prompt you to enter your license key from your Whop purchase confirmation. Signal viewing and statistics are accessible in free tier without a key.

3. The 16-Pillar Signal Engine UPDATED
ODIN generates signals from 16 independent market pillars, each scored separately and blended into a single composite score. Pillar weights shift dynamically based on the detected market regime β certain pillars carry more weight in bull markets, others in bear markets.
| Composite Score | Interpretation |
| +0.6 to +1.0 | Strong bullish conditions |
| +0.2 to +0.6 | Bullish lean β proceed with normal risk management |
| β0.2 to +0.2 | Mixed signal β wait for clarity |
| β0.6 to β0.2 | Bearish lean β caution advised |
| β1.0 to β0.6 | Strong bearish conditions |
Click any pillar to expand its full description.
RSI, MA50/MA200, Golden/Death Cross, momentum
Moving averages and RSI combined. Bullish when price is above the 50-day and 200-day moving averages and RSI is recovering from oversold. Bearish when price has dropped below key MAs or RSI is overextended and turning down. A Golden Cross (50-day MA crossing above 200-day) is a historically strong long-term bullish signal.
Long-term institutional trend line
The 200-day Exponential Moving Average is the single most-watched trend line by professional traders worldwide. Three signals in one: (1) Is price above or below it? (2) Is the slope rising or falling? (3) Is the 50-day MA above or below the 200-day MA (Golden Cross / Death Cross)? Price consistently above a rising 200 EMA = healthy bull market.
Hidden momentum shifts before price moves
Compares the direction of price swings to the direction of RSI. Bullish divergence: price makes a lower low but RSI makes a higher low β sellers are running out of steam, often precedes a reversal higher. Bearish divergence: price makes a higher high but RSI makes a lower high β buyers are fading, often precedes a pullback. One of the earliest warning signals available.
Futures funding rates, leverage, open interest
Measures how the leveraged futures market is positioned. Positive funding rate = longs are paying shorts, meaning traders are leaning long and vulnerable to a squeeze. Negative funding = shorts are paying longs, meaning bearish positioning is crowded and a short squeeze may follow. High open interest with negative funding in a downtrend = dangerous for bulls.
Bitcoin blockchain activity signals
Data read directly from the Bitcoin blockchain. Three signals: (1) Hash Ribbon β when miner hash rate recovers after a dip, miners stop selling and start accumulating. Historically one of the best long-term buy signals. (2) NUPL Proxy β whether the average holder is in profit or loss. Extreme losses = capitulation and potential bottom. Extreme profit = distribution risk. (3) Network Activity β rising transaction count confirms organic demand.
Smart-money hedging and speculation
Real-time data from Deribit, the world's largest crypto options exchange. Put/Call ratio measures how much hedging vs speculation is happening. When traders are buying a lot of put options (crash protection), it often marks fear peaks β a contrarian bullish signal. IV skew compares put vs call implied volatility: when puts are far more expensive than calls, fear is extreme and a reversal is often near.
US Dollar, interest rates, stock market
The big-picture economic environment. A rising US Dollar (DXY) is typically bearish for Bitcoin β dollar strength means capital flowing into USD, away from risk assets. A falling dollar is bullish. S&P 500 direction matters too: Bitcoin tends to move with risk assets. When both DXY is weak and SPX is rising, it's a favourable macro backdrop for crypto.
Fear & Greed Index, crowd psychology
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index measures overall market emotion on a 0β100 scale. ODIN uses it as a contrarian indicator: Extreme Fear (below 25) has historically marked market bottoms where buying is rewarded. Extreme Greed (above 75) has historically marked tops where risk is elevated. The crowd is usually wrong at extremes β the index helps you be on the right side of crowd behaviour.
Stock market fear gauge
The CBOE VIX measures how much uncertainty and fear exists in traditional stock markets. VIX above 30 signals that professional investors are in panic mode β this fear almost always spills into crypto. VIX below 15 means traditional markets are calm, which is generally positive for risk assets. A VIX spike followed by a rapid drop often marks the end of a sell-off.
Confirms conviction behind price moves
Compares today's trading volume to its 30-day average. A price move on high volume means real conviction β institutions are participating. A price move on low volume is suspect and more likely to reverse. Volume spikes on up-days confirm demand. Volume spikes on down-days confirm distribution. Volume is the single best way to validate whether a signal is real or a false move.
Bitcoin vs. the rest of crypto
Bitcoin dominance is Bitcoin's share of the total cryptocurrency market cap. Rising dominance means capital is rotating into Bitcoin (often a risk-off signal within crypto β Bitcoin is the safe haven). Falling dominance means money is moving into altcoins (alt-season, higher risk appetite). For Bitcoin signals specifically, rising dominance is generally bullish for BTC price.
Institutional cost basis and flow
Volume-Weighted Average Price is the average price paid over the last 24 hours, weighted by how much was traded at each level. It's the benchmark that institutional traders use to measure whether they got a good fill. Price consistently above VWAP = buyers are in control and institutions are chasing. Price below VWAP = sellers dominate and institutions are not stepping in to buy.
Real-money crowd forecasting
Polymarket is a prediction market where traders bet real money on price outcomes. Unlike surveys or social media, these bets have real money behind them β making them a higher-quality signal than pure sentiment. Crowd Bull % above 60% means real money is being placed on higher prices. Below 40% means real money is betting on a pullback. The crowd is putting their money where their mouth is.
Bitcoin moving on/off exchanges
Tracks whether Bitcoin is moving TO exchanges (to be sold) or OFF exchanges (to be held in cold storage). Coins flowing OFF exchanges = holders are not selling, supply is shrinking, bullish. Coins flowing ONTO exchanges = holders are preparing to sell, supply is increasing, bearish. This is one of the most direct measures of supply pressure available on the blockchain.
Traditional market hedging activity
The CBOE Equity Put/Call Ratio measures how much crash protection investors are buying in traditional stock markets. High PCR (above 1.0) means investors are buying lots of put options β fear is elevated, which is a contrarian bullish signal. Low PCR (below 0.7) means complacency β investors are not hedging, which is often a warning sign. Applied as a cross-market sentiment read that affects crypto risk appetite.
Global events that move markets
Scans global news headlines every hour using the GDELT Project and Google News RSS. Wars, sanctions, government crypto bans, and exchange seizures score bearish. Government Bitcoin reserves, ETF approvals, legal tender adoption, and regulatory clarity score bullish. Keywords are weighted by their historical impact on Bitcoin price. Major geopolitical shocks can override all other signals β this pillar catches them early.
Conviction % measures how many pillars agree with the composite direction. 70%+ is a strong signal. Below 40% means mixed β wait for clarity before entering.
Macro-Adjusted Conviction is automatically reduced near FOMC, CPI, NFP, GDP, and key crypto events. A coloured banner appears at the top when active β click it to view the event details.
MTCS (Multi-Timeframe Conviction Score) shows the percentage of timeframes (15M / 1H / 4H / 1D / 1W) aligned in the same direction. 80%+ is high-confidence; below 40% means conflicting timeframes β wait.
Click any pillar row in the Signal Breakdown to expand a plain-English description of what that pillar measures and what a bullish or bearish reading looks like.
4. Prediction Engine β 24h / 7d / 30d ML
ODIN's Prediction Engine combines a trained machine-learning model with the 16-pillar rules system to forecast BTC and ETH price direction across three horizons.
24-Hour
Short-term momentum. Confidence bands Β±1 ATR. Best for timing entries and exits within the current swing.
7-Day
Medium-term trend. Confidence bands Β±2.5 ATR. Aligns with swing trading hold periods.
30-Day
Macro outlook. Confidence bands Β±5 ATR. Useful for DCA planning and position sizing decisions.
How the ML Model Works
The model is a Gradient Boosting Classifier trained on 730 days of daily OHLCV data from Binance. It uses 14 technical features computed without look-ahead bias. A separate model is trained for each horizon (24h, 7d, 30d). Models retrain automatically every 7 days.
ML + Rules Blend
The final probability shown is a weighted blend: 60% ML probability + 40% rules-based pillar composite. This combines statistical pattern recognition with fundamental market context.
Direction Labels
| Label | Condition |
| BULL | P(up) > 55% |
| NEUTRAL | Neither P(up) nor P(down) exceeds 55% |
| BEAR | P(down) > 55% |
| Confidence Label | Condition |
| HIGH | Max probability > 70% |
| MEDIUM | Max probability 58β70% |
| LOW | Max probability < 58% |
The ML badge in the prediction header turns purple when live ML models are loaded. If it's grey, the rules-only fallback is in use β click Train to build the models.

22. FAQ
Do I need to be logged in?
Signal viewing, charts, predictions, and statistics are accessible in free tier. A license key (from Whop) unlocks the full platform. Login is required to place trades, modify the watchlist, or set price alerts.
Do I need a TradingView subscription?
No. ODIN uses TradingView's free embeddable widget β the interactive chart works for all users with no TradingView account required.
How accurate are the signals?
No signal system has perfect accuracy. The 16-pillar approach reduces false positives compared to single indicators. The Analytics panel tracks real pillar directional scoring over time β check it regularly. ML models are validated using walk-forward methodology with held-out test sets. Past signal performance does not guarantee future results.
How often should I check?
Data refreshes every 60 seconds. For swing trading, checking once or twice a day is sufficient. Enable push notifications or Telegram to receive your daily morning outlook automatically.
Is my data private?
Yes. Kraken API keys are stored in your browser only β never sent to ODIN's servers. ODIN does not collect user analytics. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
How often do ML models retrain?
Automatically every 7 days. You can also click Train in the Predict panel to force an immediate retrain. Training takes approximately 60 seconds and requires a live internet connection to fetch OHLCV data from Binance.
Can I install ODIN on multiple devices?
Yes β ODIN is a web app, accessible from any browser on any device with your license key. No separate installation needed per device.
Why are alerts limited to BTC and ETH once per day?
ODIN operates under Canadian securities guidelines (NI 31-103 s.8.25). Real-time push alerts to individual subscribers resemble a personalized signal service, which requires registration. Once-daily analytical summaries for BTC and ETH are explicitly within the safe harbour exemption. All outputs are broadcast identically to all users β nothing is tailored to any individual.
23. Financial Terms Glossary
Definitions for every financial term used in ODIN. Click any term to expand its explanation.
A
The highest price a cryptocurrency has ever traded at. ODIN shows how far the current price is below the ATH as a percentage. A price 80% below ATH is in deep bear territory; approaching ATH resistance often causes selling pressure.
The lowest price a cryptocurrency has ever traded at. The percentage gain from ATL shows the full magnitude of a bull run. A coin 10,000% above its ATL is not necessarily expensive β early buyers got in at a different market entirely.
Measures how much an asset typically moves in a day, accounting for overnight gaps. Used by ODIN's Prediction Engine to calculate price target bands: the 24h band is Β±1 ATR, the 7d band is Β±2.5 ATR, and the 30d band is Β±5 ATR. Higher ATR means wider expected price ranges.
B
A sustained period of declining prices, typically defined as a drop of 20% or more from recent highs. In ODIN, BEAR is one of four market regimes. During bear regimes, VIX and macro pillars are weighted more heavily, and conviction thresholds are raised.
Bitcoin's share of the total cryptocurrency market cap. When dominance rises, capital is rotating into Bitcoin β often a flight to safety within crypto. When dominance falls, capital flows to altcoins. ODIN uses this as one of its 16 pillars to gauge relative market positioning.
Bands plotted two standard deviations above and below a 20-day moving average. Used in ODIN's ML model as the "BB position" feature β measuring where price sits within the bands. Price touching the lower band in a bullish regime can signal an entry; touching the upper band in a bearish regime can signal a top.
A sustained period of rising prices. In ODIN, BULL is one of four market regimes. During bull regimes, volume and derivatives pillars are weighted more heavily, as breakouts and momentum matter most in trending markets.
C
A contract giving the buyer the right to purchase an asset at a set price (strike price) before expiry. High call option buying relative to puts signals bullish speculation. ODIN monitors call/put ratios on Deribit as part of its Options Flow pillar.
An automatic trading halt in ODIN's Paper Trading mode. Triggered when daily P&L drops more than 3%, weekly P&L drops more than 7%, or you record 3 consecutive losing trades. Designed to prevent emotional over-trading during drawdowns.
ODIN's single number summarising all 16 pillars, ranging from β1.0 (maximum bearish) to +1.0 (maximum bullish). Each pillar contributes a weighted score. The composite is further adjusted by the current market regime before producing the final BULL / BEAR / NEUTRAL signal.
The percentage of ODIN's 16 pillars that agree with the composite direction. 70%+ means strong agreement β high confidence signal. Below 40% means pillars are split and the signal is weak. Conviction is automatically reduced near major macro events (FOMC, CPI, NFP) to reflect heightened uncertainty.
The primary measure of inflation β how much a basket of consumer goods costs compared to a year ago. High CPI forces the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates, which is bearish for risk assets. ODIN reduces signal conviction in the 24 hours around CPI releases due to extreme volatility risk.
D
Investing a fixed amount at regular intervals regardless of price. Instead of trying to time the market, DCA reduces the impact of volatility by spreading purchases over time. ODIN has a dedicated DCA mode that tracks your average entry price, total invested, and current P&L.
When the 50-day moving average crosses BELOW the 200-day moving average. Historically a bearish signal indicating that short-term momentum has deteriorated below the long-term trend. The opposite of a Golden Cross. Used by ODIN's EMA 200 and Technical pillars.
When price and an indicator (like RSI) move in opposite directions. Bullish divergence: price makes a lower low but RSI makes a higher low β sellers exhausted, possible reversal up. Bearish divergence: price makes a higher high but RSI makes a lower high β buyers fading, possible reversal down. ODIN's RSI Divergence pillar detects these automatically.
Measures the strength of the US Dollar against a basket of major currencies (Euro, Yen, Pound, etc.). A rising DXY means the dollar is strengthening β historically bearish for Bitcoin and risk assets as capital flows into USD. A falling DXY is bullish for crypto. One of the key inputs in ODIN's Macro pillar.
E
A moving average that gives more weight to recent prices than older ones, making it more responsive to new information than a simple moving average. ODIN uses EMA8, EMA21, EMA50, EMA200, and EMA26 in various calculations. The 200-day EMA is ODIN's single most-watched trend indicator.
The net movement of Bitcoin to and from centralised exchanges. Bitcoin flowing OFF exchanges = holders moving coins to cold storage (not selling β bullish supply signal). Bitcoin flowing ONTO exchanges = holders preparing to sell (bearish supply signal). One of ODIN's 16 pillars, tracked via blockchain data.
F
A 0β100 score measuring overall crypto market emotion. 0β24: Extreme Fear. 25β44: Fear. 45β55: Neutral. 56β74: Greed. 75β100: Extreme Greed. ODIN uses it as a contrarian indicator β Extreme Fear has historically marked buying opportunities; Extreme Greed has historically marked tops.
The interest rate set by the US Federal Reserve for overnight lending between banks. The most important macro variable for all risk assets. Rising rates = tighter financial conditions = bearish for crypto. Falling rates = looser conditions = bullish for crypto. FOMC meetings (8 per year) set this rate and trigger major volatility.
Federal Open Market Committee β the body within the US Federal Reserve that sets interest rates. Meets 8 times per year. FOMC decisions cause some of the largest single-day moves in crypto markets. ODIN automatically reduces signal conviction in the 48 hours around FOMC meetings and shows a warning banner on the dashboard.
A periodic payment between long and short traders in perpetual futures markets to keep the futures price close to the spot price. Positive funding: longs pay shorts β the market is leaning bullish and longs are at risk of a squeeze. Negative funding: shorts pay longs β bearish positioning is crowded. Extreme positive funding with falling price = dangerous for bulls. One of ODIN's Derivatives pillar inputs.
G
The total value of all goods and services produced by a country. GDP growth figures are released quarterly. Weaker-than-expected GDP raises recession fears, which is generally bearish for risk assets including crypto. ODIN monitors GDP release dates and reduces conviction around them.
When the 50-day moving average crosses ABOVE the 200-day moving average. One of the most widely-watched bullish signals in technical analysis. Historically correlates with the beginning of sustained uptrends. ODIN's Technical and EMA 200 pillars both incorporate Golden Cross detection.
H
A position-sizing formula that calculates the optimal fraction of capital to risk based on your edge and win rate. ODIN uses half the full Kelly value to be conservative β full Kelly is theoretically optimal but leads to high volatility in real trading. Shown in the Position Sizing Calculator as "Β½ Kelly %".
An event built into Bitcoin's code that occurs every 210,000 blocks (approximately every 4 years) where the reward paid to miners for producing new blocks is cut in half. Halvings reduce Bitcoin's new supply issuance rate. Historically each halving has been followed by a significant bull market 6β18 months later. ODIN's Network Metrics panel shows the countdown to the next halving.
The total computational power being used to mine Bitcoin, measured in exahashes per second (EH/s). A rising hash rate means more miners are joining the network β a sign of confidence in Bitcoin's future profitability. The Hash Ribbon uses hash rate moving averages to detect when miners have recovered after a stress period, which historically marks excellent buying opportunities.
A Bitcoin on-chain indicator that compares the 30-day and 60-day moving averages of Bitcoin's hash rate. When the 30-day MA crosses above the 60-day MA, it signals that miners have recovered from a capitulation period and are no longer selling to cover costs. Historically one of the most reliable long-term buying signals for Bitcoin. Part of ODIN's On-Chain Intelligence pillar.
I
The market's forecast of how much an asset will move, derived from options prices. High IV means the market expects large price swings β options are expensive. Low IV means the market expects calm β options are cheap. IV Skew (the difference between put and call IV) tells ODIN whether fear or greed is dominant in the smart-money options market.
L
Borrowing capital to increase the size of a position beyond what your own funds allow. 10Γ leverage means a 1% price move creates a 10% gain or loss on your capital. High leverage amplifies both profits and losses. ODIN's Paper Trading supports leverage simulation. Elevated market-wide leverage is tracked in the Market Leverage card as a risk indicator.
When a leveraged position is forcibly closed by an exchange because losses have consumed the trader's margin. Mass liquidations create sharp, sudden price moves β a cascade of longs being liquidated causes rapid drops; a cascade of shorts creates rapid spikes. ODIN's Liquidation Zones panel shows where large clusters of leveraged positions are sitting.
M
The total amount of money in circulation including cash, checking accounts, and easily-convertible near-money. When central banks expand M2 (money printing / quantitative easing), more money chases assets β historically very bullish for Bitcoin. When M2 contracts (quantitative tightening), it's bearish. ODIN tracks M2 growth via FRED as part of its Macro pillar.
Moving Average Convergence Divergence β a momentum indicator calculated as the difference between the 12-day and 26-day EMAs, with a 9-day signal line. The MACD histogram shows the momentum of the momentum. Used in ODIN's ML model as a feature. Positive histogram = bullish momentum. Negative = bearish.
Total market value of a cryptocurrency: current price Γ circulating supply. Used to rank coins by size. Large-cap coins (BTC, ETH) are more liquid and less volatile than small-caps. ODIN's Stats mode shows market cap for all 650+ supported assets, along with dominance percentages.
ODIN's measurement of how many timeframes (15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, Daily, Weekly) are aligned in the same direction. 80%+ alignment = high-confidence trend. Below 40% = conflicting signals across timeframes β wait for alignment before entering. Shown as a percentage with colour-coded bars for each timeframe.
The waiting room for unconfirmed Bitcoin transactions. When the mempool is congested (many pending transactions), fees are high and the network is under heavy use β often a sign of high market activity. ODIN displays current mempool size and average fees in the Network Metrics panel.
N
The monthly US employment report released on the first Friday of each month. Strong NFP data can push the Fed toward higher rates (bearish); weak data suggests rate cuts ahead (bullish). One of the most market-moving economic releases. ODIN reduces signal conviction around NFP releases.
Measures whether the average Bitcoin holder is in profit or loss. ODIN uses a free proxy: current price vs. the 365-day moving average. Price more than 50% above the 365-day average = most holders are in profit and distribution risk is high. Price 10%+ below it = most holders are at a loss, capitulation may be near. Part of ODIN's On-Chain Intelligence pillar.
O
The total number of outstanding futures or options contracts that have not been settled. Rising open interest with rising price = new money entering long positions (confirming the uptrend). Rising open interest with falling price = new short positions being opened (confirming the downtrend). Falling open interest means traders are closing positions β conviction is leaving the market.
RSI above 70 is considered overbought β the asset has risen fast and may be due for a pullback. RSI below 30 is considered oversold β the asset has fallen fast and may be due for a bounce. These are not automatic sell/buy signals; in strong trends, RSI can stay overbought or oversold for extended periods. ODIN uses RSI levels as one component of its Technical pillar.
P
A type of futures contract with no expiry date. The most popular trading instrument in crypto, offered by exchanges like Binance, Bybit, and OKX. Unlike traditional futures, perpetuals never expire β positions are kept open indefinitely. The funding rate mechanism keeps their price close to the spot price. ODIN monitors perpetual futures data for its Derivatives pillar.
A contract giving the buyer the right to sell an asset at a set price before expiry β essentially crash protection. When put buying surges, it signals fear and hedging. ODIN monitors the Put/Call ratio on Deribit as part of its Options Flow pillar. Extreme put buying is often a contrarian bullish signal β when everyone is buying insurance, the crash may already be priced in.
The ratio of put option volume to call option volume. PCR above 1.0 means more puts than calls are being traded β fear and hedging is dominant. PCR below 0.7 means calls are dominant β complacency or speculation. ODIN uses PCR from both Deribit (crypto options) and CBOE (equity markets) as two separate pillar inputs.
R
A market condition where price moves sideways between support and resistance without establishing a clear trend. In ODIN, RANGING is one of four market regimes. During ranging regimes, mean-reversion strategies work better than trend-following. All pillar weights are treated more equally.
ODIN's classification of the current market environment: BULL, BEAR, RANGING, or TRANSITION. The regime affects which pillars are weighted most heavily in the composite score. Detected using price vs. MA50/MA200, RSI levels, volatility ratio, and drawdown depth. Shown prominently in the Signal Intelligence panel.
A momentum oscillator measuring the speed and magnitude of recent price changes on a 0β100 scale. Above 70: overbought (caution). Below 30: oversold (possible buying opportunity). The 14-period RSI is one of the most widely-used technical indicators in the world. ODIN uses RSI in multiple pillars, including the dedicated RSI Divergence pillar and across all 5 timeframes in the MTCS.
S
A measure of risk-adjusted return: how much return you earn per unit of risk taken. A Sharpe above 1.0 is considered good; above 2.0 is excellent. ODIN's Backtest engine calculates the Sharpe ratio for any strategy tested, so you can compare strategies not just on total return but on how efficiently they generate that return.
Measures whether Bitcoin being moved on-chain is being sold at a profit or a loss. SOPR above 1.0: coins being moved are in profit β holders may be selling. SOPR below 1.0: coins being moved are at a loss β sellers are capitulating. When SOPR bounces back above 1.0 from below, it often marks the end of a correction. Referenced in ODIN's On-Chain Intelligence pillar.
T
A stop-loss that moves up with the price as your position gains, but locks in when the price reverses. ODIN's Paper Trading uses an 8% trailing stop β if a position gains 20% and then pulls back 8% from the peak, it is automatically closed. This protects profits while letting winners run.
One of ODIN's four market regimes β when the market is shifting between bull and bear (or vice versa) but has not yet confirmed a new direction. Signals in transition regimes carry lower conviction. ODIN flags TRANSITION when key indicators like the MA50/MA200 relationship and trend slope are sending conflicting messages.
V
The CBOE Volatility Index β measures expected 30-day volatility in the S&P 500, derived from options prices. Known as the "fear gauge." VIX below 15: calm markets. 15β25: normal uncertainty. 25β35: elevated fear. Above 35: panic. Spikes above 40 have historically marked major market bottoms. One of ODIN's 16 pillars β given extra weight during bear market regimes.
The average price paid over a period, weighted by how much was traded at each price level. Institutional traders use VWAP as a benchmark β they try to buy below VWAP and sell above it. Price consistently above VWAP = buyers in control. Price below VWAP = sellers dominant. ODIN calculates VWAP over the last 24 hours using hourly candles.
